Zombified

Installed SuSE, and tried to hook up the zombie to my TV via VGA cable. didn't work, the TV is complaining "Not compatibility mode". Tried switching it to 640x480 then doing it again, didn't work. problem is, i can't change it back because the button in resolution settings is off the screen.

also, the Intellivision didn't sell, leaving me as poor as ever. Blast you, child labor laws.

I'm so mad i could crap myself.

JUNE 15th UPDATE: Got the resolution back to normal.

The 4x4 has a Near death experience, and a OS for the zombie

So, yeah. if you are following me on YouTube or StarMen.Net (heck, even GTAforums), you'll know about the 4x4's weak PSU. It crashed again today (while running nothing but GENS and firefox, at that!), and wouldn't boot up at first, giving me the dreaded BIOS BEEPS OF DEATH. Of course, after a few minutes it started right back up (after i had printed out a chart of BIOS beep errors and called Mi madre and my also computer-smart cousin juan), making me feel a bit like a idiot. Of course, the beeping may have been a sign, so i've just ran a backup, and all my data is stored on the Monolith (my external hard drive). Also, there's a waranty so i'm pretty much golden.

Saving the zombie in south carolina

So, yeah. with the acquisition of the 4x4, my old computer ('512 megs of fail') has been redesignated 'zombie'. i'm not sure what to do with it. i don't want to throw it away and doom it to a landfill (the only thing wrong with it is that the OS is screwed up), but it's been replaced. i could sell it (i'd get 200$ max), or i could trade it off...
Maybe i could install Linux or FreeDOS.

Also, tomorrow i'm headed out to South Carolina to see my sister graduate from her Basic Traning in the national guard at Ft. Jackson. After a field trip at school. Awesome.

New computer, no conficker.

Well, i got a new computer...
-4gb RAM
-4-core processor
-GeForce GTX 260
And guess what? we got ripped off on that power supply we upgraded to. It says it gets 750 watts, but it only gets about 550. Damn. no oblivion for me, then.

Feed the childrens

Field trip to the local 'feed my starving children' place. i handled tasks like supplying boxes, recieving filled boxes and shovelling soy into boxes for others to mix with other things and put into empty boxes for me to recieve.

Day off yet again

Sick day.
i have a cold.
Not a typical 'blow your nose every 30 seconds' cold.
a one that manifests itself in constant coughing and hacking. Losenges are sort of helping.

Hockey

Played Hockey with my friends Stevie and Noah, Plus Noah's dad and Stevie's little brother on a frozen pond in the forest reserve, just relaxing now. A fitting end to a fitting weekend.
